History of Tiffin Top in Nainital

One of the best picnic spots in Nainital, Tiffin Top (‘Have a picnic atop the cliff enjoying your Tiffin’) is also referred to as Dorothy’s Seat and is located 2292 m above sea level in the Ayarpatta hills. It is called Dorothy’s Seat since it was built in the memory of an English woman artist (Dorothy Kellet) by her well wishers and husband after her demise in a plane crash, as a stonework bench.
