History of Kainchi Dham Nainital

The premises of Kainchi Dham are neat and clean. As per the early history of this area, this region was explored by Maharaj Neem Karoli in 1942 with the assistance of Shri Poornanand who was from Kainchi village. He proposed the idea to get this famous ashram area constructed in the form of devotion to Sombari Maharaj and Sadhu Premi Baba, as they have undergone several religious activities such as yagnas, religious speech, etc at this pace where this famous Kainchi Dham is located. After getting the permission from state government and forest department, the areas of this place were deforested and construction work of ashrams and temples started. The famous Hanuman temple was constructed which attracted pilgrims from all over the India and slowly became the area where several devotees conduct bhajans, yags, kirtans, and other religious activities. The Pran-Pratishta of the Hanuman Temple idol was competed on 15th June and is celebrated every year for this. There is a huge feast conducted on this occasion and pilgrims visit to grab this feast in the form of Prasad from distance places for religious reason.

On the occasion of this day people from all around the world gather here to offer prayers and be the witness of this great celebration. The devotees of this holy Kainchi Dham are spread all over the world who often visit this area at least once in a year. Apart from the Hanuman Temple there is a cave near the temple where Baba Neem Karoli used to spend lots of time in offering prayers and performing other religious activities. Therefore, this cave is also of religious importance and is among the holy location to be visited.

The Kainchi Dham is still following the teachings of Baba Neem Karoli and his followers are spreading the same to the entire human population on earth. After Baba Neem Karoli left the physical body, his temple was also constructed in this Kainchi Dham area where his Idol is situated and is also the other location to be visited in this area.
